We deliver a program that’s been proven to be highly effective in treating addictive disease and related behavioural problems.
Our Primary Care program is structured, focused and proven. The days consist of a variety of 12 step Therapy sessions, Counselling and Coaching, Solution Focused Motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and other practices depending upon how the resident responds.
The 12 Step Program has been working for people struggling with alcoholism and addiction since the 1930s. We believe in the Power of its simplicity. During your time with us we will endeavour to instil a full understanding of the steps as best we can in the time you’re with us.
Everyone participates in Movement Therapy (PT – physical training, swimming, Yoga, etc) – either to lose weight, gain muscle, build cardio or attain your ideal body shape. Many of our residents have been neglecting their bodies whilst in the grips of their addiction / dependancy. We strongly believe in the healing aspects of having a healthy body and we supplement this by paying close attention to the food and nutrition consumed during our 3 daily meals.
During the week we attend a 12 step Fellowship meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Cocaine Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous. We also have visitors who come and share their experience, strength and hope.
At weekends we often take excursions to explore the local community and sights. This allows for residents to interact with local Thai culture and traditions. The weekend also allows for residents to relax after a demanding therapeutic week.
The PARC is a 12 Step (non-Religious) residential treatment centre for people struggling with addictions.
We use the 12 Step Program of Recovery because it has already been proven to work.
Our minimum stay is 28 days, though most of our Residents extend for 2 months. Some people commit to our full 12 week program, which we believe is the optimal amount of time to spend in rehab, if you have the luxury of spending that much time and money on yourself.
We’ve kept the costs down to a minimum, without compromising on our great standards of care and comfort, in our efforts to serve as many families as possible. We hope that we’re able to work with you and your budget. Please speak to us to discuss your situation and we’ll do our best to accommodate your specific requirements.
We hand picked our therapeutic team based upon personal experience, character and educational qualifications. We select people who have demonstrated a track record of ongoing professional development and who display passion and commitment.
Understanding and treating addiction has come a long way over the past 80 years. As a result of constant treatment program review and development, we can now offer the very best chance of recovery available. We now have the knowledge and expertise to treat addiction more successfully than ever before and we will adapt the treatment practices to suit your unique situation.
There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to treating addiction. As human beings we are complex and multifaceted. Successfully treating addictive disease requires different dialogues, training and development on several different levels for each individual. Evidence-based practices are those techniques that have been developed and researched over time that have been proven statistically to be effective. There is no better evidence based practice than the 12 Step Program, which has been successfully helping people to recover since the 1930s. However, there are many other parts to treatment that compliment and support it. By implementing additional techniques alongside the 12 step program during treatment, we can truly maximise our residents’ opportunity for lasting recovery. Furthermore, because our clinic is limited to a maximum of 10 residents, we offer individually focused treatment care plans.
Addiction is now medically recognised by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a ‘chronic relapsing brain disease’, and therefore achieving abstinence needs to be the base line from where we begin to rebuild peoples lives.
Comprehensive rehabilitation is beneficial to long term recovery from addiction. It not only helps to safeguard against relapse but also enables the individual to live a fruitful life, manage their own emotions and affairs without resorting to alcohol, drugs or other dysfunctional behaviours.
